British Airways, part of International Airlines Group (IAG), and a founding member of the oneworld global airline alliance, is one of the world’s leading global premium airlines and the first to operate daily scheduled flights. The Transatlantic Joint Business of British Airways, American Airlines, Iberia and Finnair offers up to 97 roundtrip flights every day from gateway cities throughout North America, including up to 18 flights from the New York area alone, to hubs in London, Madrid and Helsinki. In addition, the joint business carriers operate 5 direct flights to Paris and nonstop services to Dublin, Zurich, Milan, and Rome. The combined integrated route network offers seamless service with the choice of over 400 destinations in more than 100 countries world-wide.
Iberia
Iberia, the flag carrier of Spain, together with British Airways, became part of the International Airlines Group (IAG) formed in 2011. Iberia is also a charter member of the oneworld alliance since 1999, providing oneworld customers with the best and most convenient connections between Europe and Latin America. In February 2006 Iberia moved its Madrid operations into the new Madrid-Barajas Terminal 4.
Its worldwide network extends to almost 95 destinations in 39 countries. Its main hub is its home base Madrid. It was the first European airline to fly to South America and remains the leading carrier between Europe and Latin America, operating 196 flights a week to 14 destinations in the region. With its affiliate Iberia Express and its franchise partner Iberia Regional/Air Nostrum, it operates approximately 600 departures a day.
